A week at school.

This year Aladdin started prep [kindy - only 2 days a week, prep is full 5 day-week]

They started last week on Thursday. So Thursday and Friday - no dramas.
Hisham cut his hair [on my request] on the weekend. Monday morning, cried all the way to school. He doesn't want to go to school until his hair grow back!

Tuesday - he was fine and happy to go to school

Wednesday, still OK

Thursday - "I don't want to go to school!"

aiyyo! not even a week yet...

I wonder if he grumble more today?????

I hope not - everybody loves friday - don't we all?
Spiderman Maniac

One day O woke up and looked at me. I was preparing for work. He didn't say anything but just look. Then I took his hand and we walked towards the kitchen holding hands. I said to him
"Now we can be best friends, you are my best friend now"
Still holding my hand, he said "No, I'm spiderman"
----------------------
On another occasion:
I was talking about his coming birthday. Hey what you want for your birthday?
"Superman Cake" - are you sure? not spiderman cake?
"yup- I want superman cake"
OK... then I said "You are going to be THREE?"
then he said "No, I'm spiderman ONE"
you see spiderman 1,2 and 3

Aladdin: Mummy! Orion hit me with the spiderman!

"But mummy, he's only a toy, he doesn't know any better"
-------------------------------------

This morning in the car..
Orion: "Daddy, baby wants to go to the toy shop, Daddieeeee baby wants to go to the toy shop"

mmm dia yang nak gi - dia tuduh baby!

A Kampung far away from Kampung

Never ever thought taht I will 'berkampung' at the far south of the land down under. Homesick? you betcha! almost everyday I thought of my Malaysian heritage - what we used to do to eat to wear to say to feel EVERYTHING! But Allah chose Perth as my new kampung [for now] - So I am embracing this kampung as if - it's made in Heaven! Ilah - for pencinta alam like you - you will love it here - and I am LOVING it.

Our little house not on prairie - I used to dream about living in the little prairie house! If tok {tok yam} still alive - she will proabbly crocheted heaps of bonnets for my kids. how I miss her so much. The fence is now blue! The blue fence house opposite the windmill!

Arrrgh - it's hard to take! I went down the river one time without Hisham, and the view was like this! incredible! amazing! gobsmacking! yada yada yada... went home and told hisham about this magnificent view down the river. Later, on different day we went down together - the river was a bit choppy and not so hot looking [no mirror image reflection], he then said : sure....- then one day.... who's gobsmacked now?? eh? eh?

Unbelievable ain't it?

Same area - but this was in the morning - no mirror image reflection but it is nice and quiet [winter mths]. In summer, there'll be swimmers boaters, kayakers, picnickers, etc but it is relatively quiet [than the Gorge - another post perhaps]

Just the neighbourhood - Woolmers estate - not very far from Perth. Love the windmill - Infact I got few blades of this old windmill.

The boating ramp - near Woolmers. - That's Ana and ??? Aladdin???
Perth also has lotsof little cotages. Will post some of them later.... so ladies and gentlemen... Do enjoy my kampung far away from kampung...

More windmills coming up... tungguuuuuuuuuuuu
Haircut and separation anxiety

Last night...
Hisham: Can you fix Aladdin's school stuffs before you leave?
Me: OK
Aladdin: Mummy, are you leaving?
Me: Yes, why?
Aladdin: whoaaaaaaaaaaaa [cry uncontrollably]!
Me: no no I'm just going to work (and for some reason decided to tell him about my upcoming US trip) - but mummy will go to US soon and won't see you for about a week
Aladdin: Whoaaaaaaaaaa [more crying]
Me: It's OK, insyaAllah mummy will come back
---------- hmmmmmm insyaAllah mummy go there? still haven't seen my travel pack! ---

Funny how going outside the country is such a big deal nowadays - I used to pack like 3 hours before I left for UK to work. all last minute including calling the taxi! if I couldn't get any taxi - I would have been stuffed!
alas! but that was pre-sept-11

going away nowadays is not what it used to be.. they told me it's getting easier.. or is it?

In my case - even the trip to the loo is not without some fuss...

"mummy, mummy where are you"

esp. Aladdin - without fail - everytime I go to toilet for a 'whopsie' - he ALWAYS have to come in - either to go himself or to ask me some questions, or to show me something or ....... errrghhhh 'nak uk uk pun tak senang!'
----
Hisham rang up this morning - apparently Aladdin cried all the way to school - he didn't want to go - which is unlike him - coz he would always looking foward to go to school,
today - the teacher's aid had to come out and get him in ---- why????
Haircut
all my fault - asked hisham to cut his hair yesterday - and he doesn't want to go until his hair grow long again!
