What seemed like the right thing to do 30+ years ago is now a terrible crime
Heard this morning on radio... Many un-married mothers in the 60s and 70s were denied their babies. Many were in their teenagers. Some of them were told that their babies were still born or died shortly after birth.

Petrol Station
I used highest octane for petrol. I thought; why not? it is less polluting, more power.. but not many service station carry this '98 octane' content 'juice'. On my normal route [work-home], there are only two stations that sells it.
Station A : most convenient. Due to it's location I can choose this station if I want to go home via the highway OR via old road. He is OK. 10 cents cheaper than...
Station B: convenient only if I use old road (I use old road only if I have to do some groceries on the way home). But the two people that normally serve me at this station are very nice... little conversations like: "I haven't seen you for a while and I saw a lady on a motorbike the other day and I thought about you" or "safe ride home" and sometimes we cracked jokes and laughed.... wouldn't you pay extra 80-100 cents to have the nice 'service'?
YOU BETCHA!

Camping at the backyard
One thing I never done with my boys... but it is on my 'bucket' list... is to go camping....Aminah suggested we go camping on Maria Island but looking at hers and my schedule... we couldn't find a suitable date... I think it would be FUN!

Hisham got this tent for $15 at a local garage sale on Saturday.... Rohan was so excited about it. The tent was erected, AM, it's broken PM... on the same day! Nevermindddddddd...
Ofcourse I refused to sleep in the cold tent that night - much to kids frustration! I supposed next thing to get is a sleeping bag each... pumped up bed?? portable TV? hahahhahahahaha
ie - more shitery in the backyard!
weed out my ear
I wonder if you can see my asparagus? It just can't compete with weeds. The garlic also not winning with the weed.... this area was under water most of winter and the weed is so hard to pull out.. it is sort of cemented with the plant.. I tried weeding what I can but really: Hisham has to learn to prepare the beds better... and plant them not too close together and allow some space for weeding access. me? (I am the boss - hehehe I only give instructions ... kind of 'instructor gardener')

These garlic is on a 'raised' bed... so easy to keep the weed out - I don't have to break my back!
I need more of these type of bed!
These are the old water tank that Hisham cut into two... I think it will be a perfect bed for asparagus and I just ordered 300 purple asparagus seeds! I need at least 30 of these !!!
Chooks
Syahzelen is interested to see my chooks. It's only bantams - smaller chooks but they are a joy to have [I think] I wish I have enough time to 'fence' my vege patches and let the ladies [and two roosters] roaming the barkyard instead... For now my 'ladies' are in a (new) pen.

They have a nice view [for now] coz that's the only spot of tulips we have this year [remnants from last year's]

New pen is higher than old pen so Hisham doesn't have to bend inside the pen
. The old pen is now a new garden beds... hmm deliciously full of manure for whatever Hisham wants to put there.. tomatoes maybe??

Two roosters at the moment, one will be 'curry' down the track..

Box door - so we can get the eggs without having to go into the pen [in theory anyway] but some chooks been hiding their eggs - getting clucky you see....

I found that even the bantam's eggs are smaller compare to standard eggs from the shop.. the yolk are about the same size.. and these yolks are really yellow... hmmm yummy!

Poo picking
Everytime we went down to the river reserve area - we always thought - we should come and pick some sheep manure here (it was Aminah's idea originally). There is this sheep farmer [more like a hobby farmer] who let his sheep loose in this area.
Well last Sunday- we did. To me - that was the most memorable activity that I did with kids during the school holiday.

Armed with plastic bags and latex gloves... when they saw poo - they all said "poooooooo" and ran towards 'it' and picked it up... hahahahaha

Giant Asparagus
Part of herb patch at the botanical garden. I definite have to have my own asparagus patch. Our old asparagus areas are infested by twitch [tough weeds].Must find the purple and white asparagus seeds!
Our short trip during school holiday
We went to Hobart for one night - Just to catch up with a few friends and family. I planned so that we had breakfast at Ross on the way down to Hobart for obvious reason.. yep - that famous scallop pie. Hisham, Aladdin and I had scallop pie each. Orion wanted egg sandwiches and the smallest boy got the biggest breakfast! hahahaha
Lost the curls
I pested Hisham to cut the boys' hair.. when he did... can't help feeling somewhat 'regret'... anyway - it's only hair right?- it will grow back!

Still Exist

I got 3 snail cards for this Hari Raya...
Thanks to Sheeba, An my sister and Nada... and I hope you like my postcards :-)
Free Chopper Ride???

The Good News is a chopper-ride business man is treating Holman Clinic staffs to a free chopper-ride + BBQ...
The Bad News is - due to overwhelming response [who doesn't want a free ride eh?] - only one flight per family.
This could be a problem for us if the three kids can't go together by themselves.
Which two should I choose?
