The past few weeks - my bum has been frozen at night!... I need a bigger quilt!. Today
Jane Monk delivered my humongous quilt. I normally send my quilts to the local quilt shop but the local quilt shop doesn't do 'custom' quilting (free motioning stuffs) so I sent it to Jane, but the custom price is more than double than the pantograph design.
I love Jane's works - very neat.

| This is the backing of my quilt - I don't have the wide backing so I just bought normal width cotton and patched them up. I used organic cotton from spotlight. Love the 'earthy' colours. |
 |
| Quilt front. I make a pillow case to match the design but I only got one pillow case. The fabric: I bought few charm packs which I thought look very nice, but when I got them, I don't like them as much as I did on the net (this is the problem of Internet shopping) |
 |
| The original intention is to make hug and kisses quilt like Jenny Doan's tutorial. but I think the black accent fabric makes it too dark. So I change my pattern mid-way - have to offset the darknest - hence the white 'sashing'. I don't like a square quilt so I put the diamond units for top and bottom borders... then an inner border n outer greenish border... this quilt is HUGE! |
The only thing left to do is to put a binding around it - then Rohan and I can enjoy this quilt.... can't wait!
I actually have about 3-4 quilt tops to be basted (some been waiting there for more than a year??)
and numerous unfinished projects.... and numerous "to make" list. Where can I steal more time?
