| A is Perth, B is Deloraine. Less than 50 kms apart (30 minutes drive) |
What can I say about this little country town sort of middle of Tassie North? Pretty, (especially in autumn when those poplar soldiers turning to yellow-orange). Famous for arts and crafts? They hold annual Tasmanian Craft Fair that runs around Oct-Nov. Huge craft/art gatherings. Good place for picnic. Nice river (Meander River) through the town... Every time I went there - I thought - hmmmm "why not we do this more often" - but never did.
Here are some pictures I took on our adventure weekend, last.
| Ain't it pretty? I wonder who own this house now... |
| Deloraine has facilities for the camper-van people |
I should include the picture of our big lunch - looks nice but it's vegetarian dahling - so not so popular amongst kids
| vege burger on a bagel - and chutney - nice but too much! |
| This is 'eggplant bruschetta' - wow! bigger portion than what I thought and a bit too much oil on the bread. |
Plan for next week : Sheffield... another country town of Tasmania, a bit further than Deloraine... and I hope my feet can take Mt Rowland! - muahahahahahhaha
