Something to smile about

In the midst of exam n trip preparations frenzy.... something that put a smile to my face and lifted some 'tension'... is this picture from my old "dearest" Professor. We used to keep in touch, then there was a period of 'I don't really know what happened' - I feel as if he was angry at me that I didn't go and see him when I told him I would*..  he just stop replying my emails.. until recently.

* You see, I don't have any problem seeing him but I was too self-conscious to let him see me[+30 kgs!]..

You must be wondering what I am on about... Of course I am a mum [since 10 years ago]... But I was a "mummy" until recently... Aladdin starts calling me 'Mum' and Hisham, 'Dad' [instead of Mummy and Daddy].
I hope the other two won't follow that quickly... uwaaaaa I am losing my boys.... They grow up too quickly..

-At least for now I am still a 'mummy' to Orion and 'mummy darling' to Rohan! LOL

Guess What????

My sony is back on deck. This is the universal charger that set me back $70.... It's worth it coz my old sony is still good.... I won't part with it (the camera) until the end [of me OR of it! hehehe]

But yes I got ourselves a new waterproof camera also.. I went with lumix this time because it's orange (naah that's not the real reason) mainly because it's $100 cheaper than sony. Also they looked more rugged than sony.

I haven't got that orange camera yet... can't wait to use it 'underwater'....

Work front - busy as ever, My exam venue now is NOT in West Sydney, but North Ryde [still in Sydney, thank Allah for that!]. So I only had to change the hotel... so inefficient this college... this new venue has  different brand of linear accelerators [which is a bummer] and they also have a brand new modality [in Australia anyway - FYI Australia is soooo not up-to-date with technology when it comes to cancer treatment. Singapore has more toys for Physicists to play with, even when compare to Vietnam or Phillipines... we are very 'pale' - at least with their private sectors]. Malaysia also acquiring many new equipments but they haven't got enough people to operate them (ain't it typical)... So there are many places to go to (in Malaysia) should I decide to re-migrate [Pay attention Hisham]. I am over with stressing about the exam.... I will just try my best and if I fail I will have to sit again in December... (let's pray - NOT)

Quilting front: I wish I can quilt for all my friends and families.... but it is not going to happen.... so don't feel bad if you don't get any handmade souvenir from Tasmania. Insyaallah - next time. I ordered 48 labels for my quilt projects - supposed to say "quilted with love~Farid~" but I got "quilt with love~Farid~"
hmmmm UNACCEPTABLE..... but many of you know that my grammar is all over the place (no? you obviously never read my blog)

I never thought my children knew the value of money (not yet anyway). They don't receive any pocket money. They do get money from their grandmother on their birthdays [$10 or $5]. They normally spend it on toys. Apart from that.. nothing. Anyway I told them that they have a bank account each. We should put some money into the bank for their education.

From time to time they will ask me how much they have in their bank accounts. Especially Aladdin.

Recently I told them that maybe I won't get them presents for Eid since we are going to Malaysia. In Malaysia kids normally get money. "Awesome" said Aladdin. Then he added "I don't want to put my money in the bank, 'coz that is for education... I want to SPEND my money"

I thought - Hmmmm economy 101 --- failed!

Can't believe they actually produce fabrics from this 'Pickle' Comic (By Brian Crane). I enjoyed the comics but NOPE I wouldn't be quilting with them.... hehehe Yes I am crazy but NOT that crazy.
