Pleasant Cruise on-board Lady Launceston

We have been in Lonnie close to 10 years but never go on this boat. I kept thinking: we go there when we have visitors from overseas [Mainland included] but last Saturday, curiosity got the better of me.
The old silo (waiting to be converted into something?)

Chocolate gelato

Award winning restaurant - Stillwater (We should check this famous restaurant one day --- when we  feeling' rich perhaps?)

"Dr. Jones studying the rock formation from far"

We virtually had the boat to ourselves! cute and nice captain n his trainee and one other  visitor.

Bellingham Beach

This beach is about 1 hour drive from Launceston. Getting there is half the fun. You will see many beautiful countryside - fruit farms - cheese - vineyards - dairies... I wish we had more time so we can explore the farms [especially raspberries...] (next time maybe)

The beach was not as accessible as other beaches. But that's ok - we just have to walk a bit. The rock formation were interesting.

Doesn't this one look like dinosaur?

How I wish I can take one piece of 'art work' home...

Leyza and her princesses - Maryam and Madiha

Add the princes...

...and a big whale!

Try to get these kids off the water!... We got home about 9 pm!

Rohan's Birthday Cakes

The choice was Blackforest Cake

The night before the birthday - we had blackforest cake
On his birthday we went blueberry picking and a swim at the beach. Leyza baked this yummy cake and I must ask for the recipe.
On Monday - we had a BBQ party at Martin's house and there was another yummy cake - marbled cheesecake + icecream + sausages [all the things that I should not eat!]- Basically, we had 3 yummy cakes in 3 days! - Adoi! [what? make it 4 days??? hmmmm tempting]

I feel very tired today... you'd think it should be more refreshing after the 3 day weekend??? think again.

Home-grown apricots

Some of our apricots for this year. This year, was the most home-grown apricots I have seen in a long time (most years either the wind, frost or rain will get them long before they were ready)

Probably only 20% of apricots from this table were edible... but they tasted way much better than the bought ones.

Helen's bed/table runner

I meant to make it like the bottom one, somehow I managed to forget what I wanted to do (not hard to do these days). So Helen's runner is slimmer so it gives the illusion that it's longer. I've changed slightly the 'heart' of the runner. I like the white binding.

Suzuki Night Market

Some images of the night market in Melbourne. I have always wanted to check this market out since I knew about them, 3-4 years ago. I thought I will see some similarities with Malaysian night markets. Similarity = yes it's a lot about food.. but the Melbourne one is also about performing arts and crafts.... awesome!

I'd love to try the paella.. but I was too full when we got there (duh!)

There were probably 3 paella stalls. incredibly long Qs at all of them! (must be good huh?)

This American pancakes were monstrous! imagine having them with maple syrup.. what it will do to my diabetic blood stream???

yum yum.. hahaha this is italiano porchetta!

would be nice doing this after the meal.. (?) it looks very nice but I know I will get 'hammock-sick'

Turkish: Gozleme, lahmahcun, pide pide pide...

Afghani kebabs

Aussie Aussie Aussie - oi oi oi!

It says: Caribbean Island Flavours & Bar-B-Q. The land of Carnival-Calypso-Cricket & Steel Pan (I don't know that....)

Bush tucker anybody?
Even though I didn't eat anything there - I kinda can imagine what's the taste... I saw some cool crafts also but scared to take photos since I didn't buy any. Some stalls have the NO-Photography signs.

There were also live bands. we saw 3 different life bands. The atmosphere were just magic. I think it would be nicer if the mercury wasn't as high as that day [40 degree-day with millions of people everywhere!].

It starts at 5 pm .... till 10 pm [it doesn't get dark until 9 pm] so it's a 'bright' night market.
