Solo trip good and bad

I actually didn't travel 'solo'. I went with my girl friend. Solo in this post = without my family.

The baddies:
Yes, I missed them terribly, when I sitting down choosing my meal, ahhh Hisham (or Aladdin or Orion or Rohan) would like that, so I chose that particular meal just because it's their favourite (I even ate McDonald chips OK! yuck!)
Or you see something that 'they' would love... Aladdin would love that archaeological museum.. or Hisham would have appreciated this (normally art) better than I would, etc.

Secondly, you still 'worry' about the kids and try to 'connect' every chance you can. constantly have to worry about charging your mobile so that you can skype or call them or text them... 'Don't forget this, don't forget that, kids supposed to have a shower tonight, la di da di da'

Maybe missing your family is not such a bad thing. You started to appreciate them more (maybe) - I hope so anyway.

The nice things was --- less worry about losing one of them or people kidnapping them. No complaints about walking too long, food too hot, weather not right and you can move from one place to another quicker and easier. I know most of the agenda I did with Gayle, some of my kids won't enjoy them at all... like window shopping??? they would probably just want to stay at the hotel and play games on their ipad all day long.
From Launceston to Melbourne, no drama, but when I got to Singapore, I got sick really bad. Luckily we booked a lounge. In hindsight that lounge was a waste because the food was not great and the bathroom is a mixed bathroom so to me it is not convenient to have a shower there. So we didn't have a shower there, just lounging around eating crappy food and skyping the family.

We stumbled upon this massage and fish spa and this was the first time I tried the fish spa.. I did scream n embarrassed myself... but the foot massage was divine.

Sun flower garden near the lounge area. It look really nice but when you go out to have a closer look, first thing that hit me was bloody cigarette's smell!

Advanced Imaging Course in Vienna University

Haven't uploaded my Italian escapade...
But I received this picture from the mob in ESTRO.

This teaching course in my opinion is OK... perhaps not so good value for my bucks... if I didn't combine it with a holiday in Italy, I'll be kicking myself for attending it..... with the holiday attached, it is soooooo worth it girl friennnnnnnnnnnnnnn.

Actually I was not the only one who flew all the way from Australia, that African guy next to me, he works in Western Australia and one of the lecturers just moved to Australia from the U.K.
